Tom Laughlin is the principal consultant and president of Caravela Inc,
an international leadership and team development consulting firm based
in Minneapolis Minnesota. He blends over 20 years of management experience
with his expertise in organizational development to deliver performance
based development programs for business leaders and their teams.
Tom managed the Individual Development Program at General Mills and is currently the Director of Staff Development at the Northwest YMCA in Minneapolis Minnesota. His management experience includes positions in both Fortune 500 and startup companies. Most recently he was Marketing Director in the Baking Products Division at General Mills. Prior to that he was General Manager of the Caribbean/Central America and Regional Marketing Director of Latin America for Cereal Partners Worldwide. He has also held management positions in sales, production and general operations in a number of startup companies.
Tom holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, a Masters Degree in International Organizational Development from St. Mary’s University, and is completing a post graduate Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.
