Leroy McCarty has been a student of leadership for many years. He gravitated toward the subject matter while getting his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Montana State University and his Master of Arts degree in Management and Marketing from Webster University. His practical experience ranges from being a Sergeant and officer candidate in the Army National Guard, an entrepreneur and small business consultant, and a senior leader in large international corporations.
Leroy spent eleven years with Hallmark Cards, Inc. in roles of increasing responsibility. Most notably was his role as the chief architect of a new order processing division. He blended five different departments from three different divisions with very different cultures to create this 300-person division. Mr. McCarty applied significant experience in project management, process reengineering, leadership and relationship management to improve processes, lower cost, and improve service. In 1999, he took those competencies to Transamerica Insurance and Investment Group where he was Vice President, Reinsurance Operations. During his eight years at Transamerica, he reengineered the entire reinsurance administration process from treaties to claims and implemented all new technology to elevate his organization to new heights. He is currently Assistant Vice President of Administration with Forrest T. Jones & Company / Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company.
